Jackeline Soto Cruz represented TheraTools project at the European Researchers’ Night 2024 in Bilbao. Her booth titled “Glioblastoma: Una Nueva Esperanza,” used a fun “Star Wars” theme to engage visitors in the fight against glioblastoma, exploring its challenges and potential treatment strategies.
Maria Alexaki – Oral presentation at CESB2024
Maria Alexaki gave an oral presentation at CESB2024 – the 8th China-Europe Symposium on Biomaterials in Regenerative Medicine, held in Nuremberg from 15-18 September.
Maria presented her research on the fabrication of perfusable and flexible tubes in all-aqueous conditions, contributing valuable insights to the field of biomaterials.
Beatriz Passos attended the 21st edition of the European School on Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies (ESONN)
Our Doctoral Candidate Beatriz Passos recently attended the 21st edition of the European School on Nanosciences & Nanotechnologies (ESONN) in Grenoble, France. Over two intensive weeks, Beatriz joined a diverse group of over 40 young scientists from around the world, diving deep into the latest in Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies. The program, organized by Université Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble INP – UGA, CNRS, and CEA, offered a mix of lectures, hands-on training, and invaluable networking.
Beatriz embraced every moment—from learning about nano-structures and nano-components to sharing her own research and connecting with like-minded peers. She also made great connections with fellow researchers from around the world.
TheraTools Mid-term meeting in Aveiro
On June 3rd, we held the mid-term meeting of TheraTools MSCA program in Aveiro. Our doctoral candidates showcased their individual research progress and future plans.We were honored to have an officer from the European Research Executive Agency (REA) who attended all the presentations, provided valuable feedback after engaging with DCs and project coordinators.

TheraTools organised a workshop on “Advances in Biofabrication: New Perspectives in Biomedicine” held on June 4th at the University of Aveiro. The workshop features cutting-edge advancements in biofabrication and the use of 3D printing in therapy.
The DCs also had the chance to attend hands-on workshops learning cutting-edge biofabrication technologies thanks to the expertise of Bruno Ladeira, Raquel Gonçalves, Bárbara Neves, Cátia Monteiro, Inês Deus, Maria Monteiro and Hugo Fernandes👩🔬🧑🔬
